The Sydney Harbour Swim Classic provides an opportunity for the general public to compete in a community swim event on Sydney Harbour.

The Sydney Harbour Swim Classic is the only community event for swimmers starting from the Man'O'War steps to Fort Denison and returning to the western pontoon of the Man'O'War steps, exiting the water via purpose built steps alongside the Sydney Opera House.

Some of Zig-Zag's crew have been central to PAQUA product testing in the early days.
A perfect Sydney harbour afternoon saw a few PAQUA's on deck, ready to weather the race.
Zig-Zag was cruising along perfectly, and made the start-line on the gun.
Holding her line well, Zig-Zag was round the first boy with ease, and heading down-wind for the spinnaker run; then the main-sail blew-out, leading to Zigh-Zag's early retirement from the race.
A great sail while it lasted, and the beer flowed well into the eveing to commiserate the sail damage.
The PAQUA's made it to land with no problem.

The Big Swim -Palmy to Whale Beach - 2.6kms

PAQUA was asked by the event organisers to be involved with the Big Swim 2006.
Running for over 30 years, the swim is a great community event, mixing celebrities, locals, international guests and the surf club fraternity.
Most swimmers have the dilemma of where to leave gear whilst training / competing - so PAQUA's waterproof solutions are a welcome idea at events such as The Big Swim.
Based on overwhelming interest, we will be involved in other similar events this year, with a move to more permanent sponsorship.
We are also looking to get involved with swims in Fiji, Vanuatu and Hawaii later this year - so stay tuned.
