PAQUA was contacted by AMMAX Incorporated, a highly respected Yokosuka-based distributor for the Japanese market. With it's demand for the highest quality equipment, AMMAX Inc trialled several products from the PAQUA Range, and as of 1 March, have become our official and exclusive distributor in Japan for 2008.
We would like to thank local AMMAX Inc representative Kenjiro Kasai for his support, and dedication to consolidating the association between PAQUA and AMMAX Inc, for the longer term.
We look forward to a long-standing association with our strategic partner for Japan.
Through our close ties with APOLA (Australian Professional Ocean Lifeguard Association), PAQUA products were the logical choice to house the radio equipment needs of the newly established Fijian Water Patrol (FWP). Founding member Ian Ravouvou Muller - a local Fijian water-man, and surfing legend met up with the APOLA team including John Nielsen and John Andrews, here in Australia, and together, they will be establishing Fiji's first collaborative water rescue, water patrol and lifeguard service.
Ian owns and runs Fijian Surf Co. - a well known distributor of great surfing labels into the Fijian / Pacific Islands markets.
PAQUA has appointed Fijian Surf Co. as our local distributor - we look forward to building on our association in the years to come.
PAQUA is a proud sponsor of the Fijian Water Patrol (FWP) - we wish them every success during the critical set-up phase. We are certain, with the guidance of APOLA and with Ian at the helm - FWP is set to become a highly respected member of the international water safety & rescue community.

PAQUA and SL Rescue met during the World Water Safety Conference - Portugal 2007.
PAQUA sold a large quantity of equipment to US & European-based search and rescue organisations - impressed by the product quality, ease of use and practical design.
SL Rescue is run by dedicated Search & Rescue Professionals, who have been trialling their own PAQUA units in the field since Sept/Oct 2007.
A formal agreement was reached in Feb 2008 - and we are excited to announce our collaboration with SL Rescue - who will oversee PAQUA's distribution, initially into Spain and Portugal - stay tuned for additional European specific info.
After meeting Justin Sempsrott, one of several members from JBOR present at the WWF Conference Portugal 2007, and after trialling a couple of PAQUA products in the field, JBOR decided to purchase PAQUA products prior to our US-based distributor appointments.
The reliability and product quality of the PAQUA range has seen a quantity of product head over to the USA, and we have recently been advised by the JBOR crew that they "love the PAQUA's!!".
Stay tuned for some local Jacksonville Beach video and photo action - with PAQUA along for the ride!

Through our connection with AKSA (Australian Kitesurfing Association) PAQUA was invited to be part of the MAMBO Classic - a unique event attracting over 200 competitors from around the world to aprticipate in an event running for over 25 years.
PAQUA's involvement went beyond simply that or providing prizes and support - PAQUA products were used by all emergency support crews for the duration of the event, to increase safety and response times in the event of unforeseen emergencies.
We would like to thank John Smythe, Glenn Brunette, the Tathra and Pambula Surf Clubs for their support and efforts in making the event the success it was. See you all at the AKSA National Championships in Port Macquarie2008!
Through our close connection with Surf Lifesaving Australia, PAQUA was invited to attend the International Lifesaving Federation conference, and present our products on an international platform.
PAQUA was well-received across the board, highlighting the fact that we are forging ahead with strong alliances in the rescue and water safety arenas - due to un-paralleled product quality and reliability. Being built and tested for Australian conditions - with high UV and salt-water resistance, has been a great asset to the PAQUA brand, with our products being purchased by a growing number of international partners.
Special thanks to ASNASAPortugal for organising such a fantastic event.

Through our connnections in the kite-surfing industry, PAQUA has developed a close association with Headzone - an internationally recognised leader in the development of helmet-based communication equipment - specifically for water-based training.
Headzone has tested, and subsequently recommends PAQUA products to be used in conjunction with their transeiver equipment throughout the world - as a result, we have sent PAQUA to: UK, Brazil, USA, Israel - and look forward to this list growing!
Thanks to Mark Ellis and Cye at Headzone HQ in Foster / Tuncurry for their input and support.
A special thanks to Greg Hooper from X-shore Kiteboarding for his rigorous equipment testing and recommendations!!

After 12 months of product evaluation through Surf Lifesaving Australia's head office at Bondi Beach, PAQUA was given the green-light to supply the PAQUAclear into the surf clubs throughout Australia, via SLSA's distribution network partner CREATA. Our first official season with SLSA has been fantastic, and the product feed-back we're receiving has been extremely positive. A product designed in Australia for Australian conditions is long overdue, and we look forward to further building on our close association with Surf Lifesaving Australia.
A special thanks to Ben Whibley (SLSA) for his personal input, and to all those SLSA volunteers out there who have purchased PAQUA products out of their own pocket, as they saw the value, quality and reliability of PAQUA through personal use.
Wishing all the un-sung SLSA heroes out there a safe and un-eventful rescue season!

After several members of the Australian Ski Patrol Association had been using PAQUA products, it was time to present PAQUA products to the Kosciosko Mountain and Persiher Valley Ski Patrol and Mountain Maintenance crews.
Currenlty, old-style radio harnesses are worn under the jacket - making communication muffled and not as effective in some emergency situations.
There were several PAQUA units trialled and purchased throughout the mountains over the 2007 season with great results. We expect to build on these associations in 2008 - particular mention goes to the snow-making crews at Thredbo and Perisher - who wore PAQUA products during the bitter-cold snow-making activities with great success. Also a special thanks to Dave Khun (Thredbo Ski Patrol) and Wayne Tuckwell (Perisher Ski Patrol) for their personal input.
