After meeting Jamie through our connection with APOLA (www.apola.asn.au), and having used our dry-packs for his training and professional applications as a Lifeguard on the Gold Coast - it seemed logical that we should formalise our association with Jamie, and support his incredible abilities in the world of paddling.
Known for his extreme endurance, and his un-paralleled wins in the world arena, Jamie is not only a true champion, but a great ambassador for PAQUA.
Often training on long stretches of open water, with no support, it's important for Jamie to be able to rely on communcations and navigation equipment - his products of choice currently are the PAQUAclear and the PAQUAmobile.

In acknowledgement of our on-going association with APOLA, PAQUA was again present at the National Professional Ocean Lifeguard Conference, held at Sydney's Bondi Beach, hosted by Waverley Council.
This year, PAQUA was able to discuss our achievements in the professional arena of water safety, among 120 delegates from around the coastal regions/councils of Australia.
With a successful season behind us, we look forward to expanding our association with all coastal councils around Australia leading into the 2007/2008 Summer season (southern hemisphere).
We would like to thank APOLA for inviting us to attend the conference, and we look forward to finalising the new order requests, and expanding some product features, as discussed during the conference. Congratulations to all nominees in the inaugural Lifeguard of the Year Awards.

Through PAQUA's involvement with Lifeguard Services throughout Australia, several members of the Water Patrol Safety Unit have had wide experience with PAQUA products in their professional applications. PAQUA was the obvious choice to house radio equipment for the duration of the Surfing Championships - Jetski Water Patrol guys were out there supporting the surfers and photographers in all conditions for the duration of the event - from sun-up to sun-down.
Congratulations to #1 Mick Fanning, and all the competitors who made the 2007 Championships one to remember. Thanks also to Jamie Mitchell (5x World Champ Paddler and Lifeguard for Gold Coast City Council) for organising PAQUA's involvement for the Quiki Pro - we look forward to a long-standing association with Water Patrol events.
Off the back of PAQUA's involvement at the Quiksilver Pro in Feb/Mar, the Jetski Water Patrol guys were at it again during the Boost Mobile Airshow.
Attracting competitors like Kelly Slater and Taj Burrows, the Airshow was a massive success - creating great exposure for the growing sport of "aerial" surfing.
Sponsored by LG, the event was attended by several thousand spectators and conditions ensured some awesome action.
